Phau Ntawv Hmoob: Hmong Workbook

A Hmong workbook from Hmong ABC, 2021 — exercises rather than exposition, of the kind a teacher or parent assigns. No publisher description has been issued for it, so what follows is about the form rather than the contents. Practice material is the piece most often missing when Hmong is taught outside a school: a primer can explain that RPA marks tone with a final consonant, but only drilling makes a reader stop hearing "pob" and "poj" as the same word, and that is what a workbook is for. Written by two authors through the St. Paul publisher that carries most of the Hmong-language titles in print. Note that this is a different book from Lue Herr's similarly titled Phau Ntawv Hmoob primer, also on this shelf: different authors, different years, and the two are easy to conflate because "phau ntawv Hmoob" simply means "Hmong book."
