Pao Houa Her

Pao Houa Her is a Hmong American photographer born in Laos and raised in the Twin Cities. Her work uses portraiture and constructed landscape to examine memory, illusion, and the idea of a homeland known only through other people's accounts. She has exhibited at the Whitney Biennial and the Walker Art Center, and her first monograph appeared in 2024.
