Studies
Ines M. Miyares is a geographer at Hunter College, City University of New York, whose work covers immigration, refugee resettlement and the making of ethnic neighborhoods in American cities. Her book on Hmong resettlement grew out of dissertation fieldwork in California's Central Valley and is read as a geographer's account: it treats where Hmong families ended up, and why they moved again afterward, as the central question rather than a background detail.
