Green Card Voices

Green Card Voices is a Minneapolis nonprofit that records first-person video and written narratives from immigrants and refugees in the United States, then publishes them as anthologies tied to a particular school or city. Its Green Card Youth Voices series collects essays by high school students, most of them recent arrivals, and is used widely in classrooms. The books are collective by design: the students are the writers, and established authors contribute forewords.
